Some things about me

I am an illustrator, a storyteller, an ever-learning human. Whether I'm doodling in my sketchbook or working on a digital piece, I aim to tell a story through each small drawing. My inspiration comes from the world around me—nature, culture, and the quirks of the human experience—but also from the realm of dreams.

As a teenager, I used to spend many hours devouring stories, immersing myself in countless magical worlds while building my own little library at home. Although the books I read were often devoid of illustrations, I found joy in bringing the characters to life by sketching them on cheap paper, my hand running wild as I crafted their features according to my imagination. Looking back now, Mark Zug’s illustrations from the Septimus Heap series might have been the ones to first awaken something in me in that regard.

It took me a few more years to actually discover the wonders of children’s book illustration. This time, it was my university professor who opened the gates of knowledge, and since that fortunate day, I knew what my purpose in life would be.

Today, I approach my illustrations with a simple desire for discovery. Each day, I dive into a world of unknown colors and yet-to-be-found characters that mirror the magic and wilderness of childhood. Along the way, watercolors, gouaches, colored pencils, and a faithful graphic tablet have been my trusty companions.
